not everything needs a conclusion…

Met a friend from twitter for dinner recently. It was just very random, out of the blue, a Direct Message came in and asked me out for dinner.

“I was like, oh oki, sure why not, I need dinner anyway.”

😀 yes, you can try that on me too. If you want dinner and needs company drop me a msg and who knows if I’ve nothing planned beforehand we can meet. 😀

Anyway, turns out, one of the objective of the meeting was to find the strength to move on.
To know and to understand from me if the pre-conceived understanding was true.

not gonna share that part of the incident.
I want to write down what I learnt from the person.

“you are right, I agree, not entirely his fault, as you said, you changed. n perhaps this is a good defining moment for you.  this ‘incident’ is a good turning point for you. to be a better you.
guess I was too into convincing ppl. putting my opinion on people.
thinking back, I guess its not that important to have an immediate closure on something, in this case, to close-up/have a conclusion on ur feelings about him. its not important.
take your time then dear. use the situation as a motivation. be restored in the things that were taken from you. be a better you. be an even better you. I believe in you girl!”

Invisible Lives

Went by to Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Singapore, Singapore for an exhibition and a get-together with some friends.
Late night band, booze and gathering for the win!!!!! 😀

Exhibition was entitled “Invisible Lives”
🙂
I feel that its a very good initiative by the good people of Ogilvy themselves to have work that out.

So much glam has been covered on paid for commercial and advertising.
What happens then to those back-lane segments of the society?
Whats what? What are they about?
Do you know?
Do they know?
Does anyone know?

Vietnam Brides

What’s your reaction when you hear “Vietnam Brides”?

Love It? Hate It?
Well, for me, I guess all in love is fair, meaning, ya, in as much as Singaporean men are picking up foreign brides hence less Singaporean men for me to choose, I believe love doesn’t come and land on your lap. To certain extend you need to work for it.
And if what the men want is a simple wife to sit at home and be the perfect housewife, then, thanks for helping me to do the eliminating. 😉

Post-processing

Was doing Post-processing (PP) on my Batam photos when a thought strike me causing a dilemma within.

Version 2.1

this is after much Post-processing, tweaking the contrast (that increased the brightness of the photo), saturation of the colours Green and Blue that brings out the blueness of the boat and the skies, the green to bring out the sea.

“Originally” (or maybe not that originally, will explain that later) its like this:

Christmas (Tree)

Was reading the newspaper when I came to this article. Its called ‘Oh (real) Christmas tree” by Jessica Cheam.

She is good, or at least this article was very well written.
Let me extract out the parts for you.

“Many people have a love-hate relationship with Christmas. Some even argue that the reason behind the occasion, the birth of Jesus, is not even in December – but in April or November, depending on which historian’s theory or calculation you believe in or use.

My other half is one who is ambivalent about the occasion – he can’t decide whether to embrace or ignore it. A week ago, he declared: “I’m not doing Christmas this year.” “But you don’t do Christmas every year,” I shot back.

By “not doing Christmas”, he meant that he will not go shopping, send any cards or indulge in what he considers time – and money-wasting activities which many people get sucked into by glitzy shopping malls and fancy retailers.

This year, he insisted he will “not do Christmas” again, except for one thing: Get a real Christmas tree. Continue reading
